The rooftop terraces above the city have a special atmosphere that we really love: high above the noise and the bustle. We have many of them in Budapest, but the newest is somehow special: Memorise Sykbar is located on the 6th floor of a 4-star hotel, and has one of the most beautiful views of the city and Buda side, the church tower of Egyetem tér and the surrounding roofs.

The hotel is named Hotel Memories OldTown, and you can easily find the newly renovated building at the beginning of the quiet Bástya Street, opening from Kecskeméti Street. The Skybar opens at 5 in the afternoon and being southwest oriented, maybe it's not even a problem because the sun is shining hard enough.

They have wide selection of cocktails and drinks (we even found Japanese whiskey, Nikka on the drink menu) and there is also a barbecue kitchen. Among the appetizers you will find a selection of cheeses with organic buckwheat and lime jam and green walnut jam, the main dishes are - for example - homemade roe-burger served in black buns and snake mackerel.
