The new British ambassador in Budapest, HE Iain Lindsay OBE greets every Hungarian in a really nice video. First, he speaks a little bit about the aims of Great Britain and Hungary, for example the importance of more cooperation and more business between these two countries. Then he tells us some details about his work and himself. He is Scottish, he has been a diplomat for already 35 years, serving in Europe, Asia and most recently in Bahrein.

He is married, his wife Bridget is also a diplomat, but a teacher and a writer, as well. Their son Calum is doing a master degree in Kings College, London. He also adds that he has been in Budapest several times with his family, and is really happy to work and live in this fascinating city now.

Then comes the surprise: he changes for Hungarian at 1:20 and talks about all the things he has seen and tasted in Hungary, from Debrecen to Pécs, wine cellars to concerts and a football match. He has been learning Hungarian since August and we think that his pronunciation is really good, the only thing he will surely improve is the accentuation, but his speech and the whole video is so charming altogether.
