Instead of telling us some secrets about his series called The Alienist: Angel of Darkness, Luke Evans takes us on a tour of Budapest in a ‘behind the scenes’ video.

The Alienist was shot on our capital so the actor lived here for a couple of months. And of course, he had some time to know the city and to find some favourite places to hang out.

“Budapest has great food, great people” – he said in the video.

“You go across Liberty Bridge which is a very beautiful bridge, one of my favourite bridges in Budapest over the Danube” – he continued.

“Hiking up to Gellért Hill is something that everybody has to do when you are coming to Budapest. […] I like to do it early in the morning when there is no tourist; the sun rises and it shines right down the Danube. It is just a beautiful thing to get to the top of the hill and look down” – he added.

He also talked about thermal baths and the Margaret Island which he calls a floating garden in the middle of the Danube. He thinks that Budapest is one of the most amazing cities in the world, “which is absolutely worth a trip”.
