The first Volkswagen California was released 30 years ago, and since then, it has become one of the most successful camper vans in the world. So it is not a wonder that the company wanted to make this anniversary quite special – they released a new edition of their iconic camper van, the Volkswagen California Balaton Edition.

This model is a seven-seater with some pretty useful extras: an additional camping table, camping chairs, a Camper roof and an awning. Volkswagen promises that this camper van will fulfil every wish for comfort imaginable. Kinda luxurious, for a reasonable price (around 55.500 euros).

So the newest model is an homage to Hungary, more specifically to Lake Balaton. Why? Because ‘the Hungarian sea’ is loved by so many Germans, as well.
