Budapest Beer Week arrives with special beers and unique concept
Posted by Budnews · Apr 24, 2019

11 breweries joined together to create this specialty.

After last year's great success, Budapest Beer Week will be held again this year! The concept of beer week, which will take place between May 20-26, is special: the main events are the tasting sessions / tasting days, where you can consume unlimited amount of beer for six hours. At this year's festival, we can taste 200 types of beer from 50 breweries, including such unique brands that have never been on tap in Hungary.

Hungarian breweries also show their best: this year's official drink is something more than unique. To create this beer, 11 breweries joined together, and made the official New England IPA of the festival, but with an exciting twist. Instead of the mango flavor of the usual fruity IPAs, this beer is made with peach and buckthorn, making a truly unique flavor. In addition, it contains several type of hops: one from New Zealand, two Americans and a modern European kind.

We can find breweries such as New Zealand's 8 Wired Brewing, Swedish All In Brewing, Russian Bakunin, or the Spanish Basqueland Brewing on the almost one-week long beer week. But of course, the best Hungarian craft beers and the most famous foreign breweries will also be represented.
