Lonely Planet suggests you to discover ‘the other Budapest’
Posted by Mia Balogh · Nov 11, 2016

Budapest is a city where you should forget what you have read about ‘must-see sights’, and choose to discover the city’s less-known values – that’s what Lonely Planet’s author suggests in their recent article.

Tourists who visit Budapest usually go to see Buda Castle, Váci Street, the Danube, ruin bars, baths, some museums or the Parliament, but the Hungarian capital offers so much more than that. That’s what Lonely Planet emphasizes in their recent article about Budapest – they suggest you to forget what you have seen on the postcards and in the guidebooks. ‘Step away from the must-see sights and discover the city’s curiosities off the beaten track’ – they write.

They suggest you to visit Kelenföld Power Station, Wekerle estates, Budapest’s caves, Törley sparkling wine cellars, Zwack Unicum Factory, Ecseri Market, Paloma, Hospital in the Rock, Budapest Pinball Museum and Turkish baths.
