Budapest is one of the best European cities for digital nomads

In a new study, best European destinations for digital nomads were ranked – and yes, Budapest is also on the list. To be a little bit more precise, in the top three.

We all know that digital nomads only need their laptop and reliable internet connection to work, but many of them also enjoy the comfort of co-working spaces or nice cafés. Of course, there are many more other factors which are important for them, just like for the rest of us, like affordable rent prices and entertainment possibilities. But which cities can be the best choices for digital nomads in Europe?

A British insurance company named CIA Landlords conducted a study by focusing mainly on workers based in London. They looked at their perspectives of moving to cities that are located in time zones GMT or plus or minus three hours. It took into consideration the cost of living for essentials – rent, transport, bills and wi-fi costs, takeaway and pint prices, as well as cost per night for an Airbnb.

"However, when everything is considered, it is Madrid which comes out the winner. It has lots of tourists with great places to visit and lots of things to do. The rent at £895 ($1,175) isn’t cheap but it is served by lots of low cost flights and a low cost of living. Istanbul and Budapest came second and third" – Forbes.com writes.

So our capital came in third in the list which is not so bad after all. ;)

The results of the study were published by Forbes magazine.
