Enjoy the Magical Atmosphere of Christmas in the streets of Budapest
Posted by Mia Balogh · Dec 20, 2016

The buildings and streets of Budapest are already decorated for the festive season, just like the Christmas trams and trolleybuses. Hungarian photographer Tamás Rizsavi has captured some snaps about these streetcars, take a look at his photos.

If you arrive to Budapest before Christmas, we are sure that you have some ‘must do’ programs on your list, for example going to a Christmas market, drinking some mulled wine and going for an evening walk to see the beautifully lit city.

Well, that evening walk can be even more memorable, if you can travel on a Christmas tram or trolleybus as well. Tamás Rizsavi’s amazing pictures will make you want to do that immediately – the talented Hungarian photographer has made some stunning snaps about the streetcars beautifully lit.

Enjoy the images, and don’t forget to make your own pics this year on/with the Christmas tram! ;)

About Christmas trams and Christmas trolleybuses:

This is the seventh winter when Christmas trams enchant all of us. This year, you can enjoy travelling on those from 5 December until 6 January 2017 (except for 24 and 31 December), from 5 PM. Christmas trams are the most likely to be seen on the line of tram 2 but some vehicles on the lines of tram 4, 14, 19, 47, 50, 56A and 59 can be enlightened in the inside and outside, as well. You can enjoy travelling on the Christmas trams with normal tickets and passes.

Did you know? The Christmas trolleybus goes out one night only this year, on 17 December from 9 PM. Ticket prices are estimated to be around 2000 HUF per person.
