This year, exciting and diverse programs await visitors at the Buda Castle on March 15th, marking the anniversary of the revolution and the war of independence.
The Young Batthyány Circle will evoke the spirit of the Reform Era with a roundtable discussion, folk music session, and a folk dance, while the Castle District will offer family-friendly programs, exhibitions, historical walks, and cavalry demonstrations.
The program of the Young Batthyány Circle starts at 6 PM, where historians and writers will share their thoughts on national memory and the traditions of folk dances. The discussion will be followed by a concert and dance event, featuring the Moldavian Youth Orchestra and FolkEmbassy bands, shaping the festive atmosphere with folk music and dance.
The Castle District also welcomes the youngest visitors: children can participate in craft activities, learn cavalry songs, and enjoy weapon demonstrations, while adults can engage in interactive history lessons and military heritage presentations. The Várkert Bazár offers free exhibitions, including one on the Budapest siege, which can be explored.
These events offer a rich selection for history enthusiasts and families, providing a truly unique way to honor the heroes of the revolution.
